THE SWEETEST EAST TEXAS ENGAGEMENT
Sydney and Andrew met in September of 2020 through a program called The Forge - a year long discipleship program through Pine Cove Camps. After a few months of knowing one another Andrew asked Sydney on a date and the rest was, well, history! In November of 2021, Andrew asked Sydney to marry him at the place where they had their first date - on a back porch at Pine Cove Bluffs. The morning was filled with sweet surprises, friends, intentionally planned moments, and so many smiles. One of Sydney’s dear friends (and Maid-of-Honor!) is a talented photographer and was able to hide in the brush as Andrew proposed (and they had a mini engagement photo shoot after)! Here are some of my fav photos, moments, and thoughts!
“Andrew’s thoughtfulness was on full display through the entire proposal Saturday! What a day getting to celebrate the Lord’s kindness and grace in bringing us together and remember all that He has done through our relationship this far! Andrew’s intentionality in thinking through every single detail of what would lead me to having a day where I was abundantly cared for, celebrated, and supported was woven through the whole day! Absolutely cannot wait to get to marry him!”

“It was such a joy to spend several weeks planning for our engagement! After all of the planning, I was so eager to get on a knee to propose to Sydney. I loved preparing a day for her where she could feel giddy, loved, and celebrated by some of her favorite people. I could see how joyful she was and her beauty was absolutely radiant all day. She is such a gift from the Lord, and I am so excited to marry my best friend!”

I know I spend a lot of time at weddings! When I am not working you can likely find me at a bachelorette party, engagement party, and any of the festivities in between and really, I wouldn’t want it any other way! Cheering these two on from College Station has been so fun and I can’t wait to cheer them on forever! Cheers to LOVE and proof of the Lord’s goodness!
Much Love,
Botkin
